We offer independent, transparent and applicable advice on all of your security and fire safety issues. Our risk advisers are happy to discuss specific issues with enthusiasm and passion.
For larger assignments, on which several specialists work, a project team is formed. If possible including your own employees, with the aim of transferring our knowledge optimally.
The project team always has one fixed contact person for the customer.

Innovation and Development
When Cocoon risk management was founded in 2000, there were no integrated service providers in the field of risk management. At the time, we profiled ourselves as consultants in the field of fire safety, security and design. In recent years, we have added cybersecurity to this profile.
Cocoon specializes in Security by Design, Crime Prevention through Urban Design or Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED). A methodical approach with a proven economic importance for all parties, which is interesting for both the owner and the user of a building or area.
In 2008 Cocoon started an investigation into the necessary documentation for guaranteeing fire safety for buildings and the users who inhabit it. From this, the Safety Manual* was originated, in which the responsibilities for owners, users and contractors are properly assigned. But the safety manual also includes matters such as the environmental permit, environmental matters and possibly a collection disaster plan.
In 2010, Cocoon carried out the first red team audits. A method that has proven its worth and with which we serve many companies with more than 17 auditors and more than 60 audits per year. We can now say that we are the market leader in the Netherlands in physical red team audits and penetration tests.
Rob van Dijk co-designed the BREEAM assessment guideline for sustainable new construction projects in the Netherlands in 2021 and in 2010 he was the initiator of a study into The Safest School in the Netherlands.
Our role in society
The youth is our future. This is also the case when it comes to security and risk management. That is why Cocoon annually supervises various students during internships and graduation theses. Additionally, we second young professionals, of course from our professional guidance, in our specific but beautiful industry.
In addition to our commitment to young professionals, we believe that sustainable construction is the solution for our Economy and the Environment. This is one of the reasons why we have included methodologies such as Safe Design and Management, Security by Design, Crime Prevention through Urban Design and Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design in our vision.
Our vision on risk management
Safety and security measures should be distinctive of your organization and should come naturally. This automatically fosters the feeling of security and the willingness to comply with measures will increase.
Our vision on safety therefore focuses primarily on creating a natural form of protection. Because the effectiveness of risk-mitigating measures is related to the willingness of employees and visitors to implement them.
